Melina Mackall believes that every person has unrealized potential—potential that, once identified, can transform the way they move, train, perform, and compete.

Her work is rooted in a simple belief: we are all born with essentially the same musculoskeletal system. What differs is how effectively we leverage what we already have.

Driven by a mission to help athletes reach their highest level of performance, Melina has spent years studying the factors that separate elite performance from unrealized potential. Her goal is to help athletes identify the missing piece, overlooked functional concepts, and inefficiencies that may be preventing elite level function —and then provide a clear, actionable path forward.

Melina brings this philosophy to every session, along with a lifelong passion for movement and a firsthand understanding of what it takes to perform. A dancer and choreographer for twenty years, she later transitioned that same drive into open-water swimming and endurance multisport events, including two Half Ironman triathlons and swims around both Governors Island and Liberty Island.

In 2001, Melina founded Mackall Studio with a singular mission: helping athletes and active individuals perform at their highest level. For more than two decades, she has worked with runners, triathletes, dancers, and high-performance clients across disciplines, including backstage work with the casts of Aladdin and Alvin Ailey. Throughout her career, she has collaborated closely with physical therapists, helping bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance.

Melina holds a BA in Dance from Bard College, where she was awarded the Don Parker Scholarship for greatest development as a performer. She is a New York State licensed and board-certified massage therapist and is certified in the Pilates technique. Her advanced training includes myofascial release, structural integration, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular therapy, postural analysis, gait training, strength training, craniosacral therapy, myofascial mobility, clinical cupping, kinesiology taping, and lymphatic drainage techniques.

What sets Melina apart is the combination of her deep anatomical knowledge, her rare clinical skill, and a relentless commitment to understanding exactly what is happening in your body—and what needs to be addressed to help you move, perform, and push the envelope on your potential.

From the 5K to the ultramarathon—and everything in between—Melina helps athletes unlock what is already inherently there.
